Scout Advancement


Trail to First Class - This Troop 380 program is led by a Patrol Leader with the guidance of a Troop Guide and an Assistant Scoutmaster for new boy scouts during the first year of Scouting.  Its purpose is to introduce Scouts to the basics of scouting and encourage the advance in rank.


Trail to Eagle - This Troop 380 program  purpose is to encourage Scouts to advance in rank and Scouting skills with the help of Troop Instructors and Assistant Scoutmasters, as necessary. Meeting merit badge requirements and leadership skills are a strong focus.

Eagle Required Merit Badges

Although a Scout must earn only 12 Eagle Merit badges for the rank of Eagle, a Scout may choose any combination of these merit badges to fulfill requirement # 3 for Star and Life Scout. Eagle Merit Badges include: Camping, Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Communications, Cycling, Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Science, Family Life, First Aid, Hiking, Lifesaving, Personal Fitness, Personal Management, Swimming
